The World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), whose guidelines are used around the globe to treat gender-confused patients, is under fire this week after a new peer-reviewed study exposed serious flaws in the group’s methodology.

Just a few weeks ago, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons stated there was “insufficient evidence to conclude that the benefits of these surgeries outweigh the risks in children and adolescents.”
