Canada doesn’t care about the prosperity of its people. I stand with Danielle Smith and I will stand with Alberta separation if Canada continues to destroy our economy.

"she called a 'grand bargain' expected by the Grey Cup in mid-November." have heard this kind of talk for decades. Hopefully Smith can pull this off. Still the line is in the sand, Gray Cup Day........ In the mean time, no stopping, Alberta Independence. Question, even if Smith pulls this off, what is to stop ottawa back tacking or coming in another way to attack Alberta, the track record of ottawa is really bad, this needs to be addressed.

I am a multi-generational Canadian and would still like to say a Proud Canadian but I can no longer be proud of what Canada has become since the moron with the weird sock fetish and his merry gang of corrupted trained seals took office.

Sadly the destruction of what used to be a respected and wonderful country now continues with the same group of seals with a new incompetent and corrupt head.

... SO ... Sorry Premier Smith....

I hate to say this but I fear that most indications seem to be that SOUTH is going to be not only your best but perhaps your only option.

It is a sad statement and I make it with a very broken heart as I watch the country I loved and still love fall apart at the hands of woke joke Liberals, the even bigger jokes that are represented by the likes of Eby and fake, pretend Conservatives in Provinces like OntArWeOwe and out East.

What a great shame.

TY

What a wonderful country this could have been.

Squandered away by Liberal idiots, fools, and morons.

Primarily the Liberals and the NDP.

At least The Bloc was/is honest about hating the rest of Canada.

The Liberals and NDP have been and are doing it by stealth.

They are doing that for sure. A I think they have arrived at the final stage. The con man is just at the point of putting final touches on, with the new restriction laws to protect their communism.

US oil companies purchase petroleum products from Alberta at well below world price then resell Alberta sources petroleum product to Europe at a premium with a tidy profit.

Whether it be the Edy Government of BC, the Canadian Federal government, or US petroleum buyers the citizens of Alberta are getting beaten financially.

Alberta has sent over $800 billion dollars in transfer payments to Ottawa to die. It is time Ottawa either repaid that $800 billion or stopped choking the Alberta economy.

As well, Alberta needs to turn off the taps to existing pipelines going into BC for a week or two .

Not only citizens of Alberta , but Canada as a whole . What other country stifles economic development for the good of their citizens ?

Not China , not Russia , not India , and definitely not the USA and even Germany is reevaluating their economic realities .

The oil all goes to Edmonton for refining. The rest is exported out of the country. Most of BC's fuel comes from Edmonton refineries. That could be slowed or stopped for a while. As for ng BC has plenty in the peace country. Although I don't think the supply the lower mainland.

Danielle, you may as admit it, that con man is not going to do what you asked. You should not have extended that dead line. He's had plenty of time to do this. Hope you've been working hard on plans to go independent. I wouldn't wait. Time is not going to wait on us.

Likely one option for the West....Wexit... . the Laurentian elite are not friends of the west. Neither are those that vote liberal. Canada is a broken country and the West must move to protect its interests.. Would Washington treat the west any worse than Ottawa has. (NEP, Equalization etc etc)..... Thats a question people in AB and SK should be asking themselves. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is "Einstein's" definition of insanity.

Looks like Smith is falling for the snake Carney’s plan of trying to resurrect Keystone XL and therefore not having to deal with a pipeline within Canada.

We send enough discounted oil to the US.

Funny how the " Team Canada " narrative has already died its death in just a few short months and the snake Carney is now looking for increasing exports to the US.

If “every” political figure in Canada used the knowledge, expertise and plain ordinary common sense of Alberta’s Premier Danielle Smith…..CANADA INDEED WOULD BE ONE IF THE RICHEST COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD!!!!

I hate to say it but when economic collapse and de-industrialization is mandated policy, then a pipeline is not gonna happen... not in a month of Sundays.

Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story, Eby is so full of bullsht

Perhaps his comments should be censored prior to printing. If he wants BC to be another country, Alberta should put tariffs on gas and oil to BC.
