Captured carbon dioxide poses a danger to human and animal health if it ever escapes from storage. Its invisible and heavier than air. So as it moves along, it displaces oxygen laden air. Standing in a cloud of carbon dioxide, you’d lack oxygen. Animals in the cloud would also perish, for lack of oxygen.

Second, capturing carbon is expensive.

Third, there is NO climate crisis, say 2034 scientists at clintel.org, so capturing carbon is a waste of time and effort.

I agree with you. Carbon capturing, to me, is another green slush fund scam. So much money just asking for.govt to spend!! Wonder.how we have done without it til now??!!

And yet the oil imported into Eastern Canada does not need to meet any of this " decarbonized " nonsense. The snake Carney's double standard

Albertans should not expect anything more other than more economic, financial and social policy pain from these recycled corrupt Liberals....

When are they going to start laying off the thousands of people currently employed in the various permitting required for these types of projects? If projects only need king Carney's blessing to go ahead, then why all the other bureaucracies?

It looks like the Special Projects Office needs to declare a project as being in the national interest first, and then maybe, possibly, potentially, the snake Carney's magical permit speed up process might, possibly, potentially, kicks in.

"we need to show Albertans that the country works again." It is going to take a lot more than this to show the country works again, for that matter it really never as worked.

2nd, this sounds a lot like the carrot again, really kicking the can down the road. None of the big issues are even mentioned, if this goes though, it is only a matter of time until ottawa comes at it another way, no real change.
