“Smith next”: Edmonton police probing post by drag performer on Charlie Kirk murder
An Edmonton drag performer’s post stating “Miss Smith next, please and thank you” in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s killing has caught the attention of local law enforcement authorities.
An Edmonton drag performer’s post stating “Miss Smith next, please and thank you” in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s killing has caught the attention of local law enforcement authorities.
The Edmonton Police confirmed to True North that they are aware of the post and “are looking into it.”
Aldynne Belmont — who also goes by the names Fox McCloud and Bunny Lebowski — posted on X, celebrating Kirk’s assassination before suggesting “Miss Smith” should be “next” accompanied by a picture of an individual holding a firearm.
“Charlie Kirk is no more. I hope he felt terrified, and I hope the rest of this kind are just as scared,” said Belmont. “Miss Smith next, please and thank you.”
Belmont’s Instagram and LinkedIn accounts were also shown in the post. The drag artist currently works as a Researcher for Rainbow Story Hub Foundation.
The social media accounts mentioned have since been disabled.
Alberta Premier Danielle Smith did not comment on the posts, however a spokesperson referred True North to her Wednesday X post.
“Political violence has no place in a free and democratic society and must be condemned without reservation,” said Smith.
Belmont joins a litany of vile posts reacting to Kirk’s assassination, which left his wife a widow and his children aged three and one without a father.
U.S. President Donald Trump has vowed a crackdown on the “radical left,” along with any other organizations enabling political violence in America.
Kirk’s killer remains on the loose, and the FBI is offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to their identification or arrest.
The U.S. State Department has barred foreigners who “glorify” Kirk’s Assassination form entering the country.

This is the perfect time to talk about Justin Trudeau labeling and fomenting hate in our very House of Commons not long ago, saying conservatives and vaccine deniers (those who refused to take the vaccine, a free choice) were nazi's, anti-science, fascists, misogynists, racists and I may be forgetting a few... would someone interview him about his words or even simply sue him for hate speech?
Wow just wow! The vitriol coming out of the left. This is an absolute threat on our premier and this best get dealt with immediately. I am so angry with all the hate and propaganda especially especially from the CBC. I want to know how to get a hold of Marco Rubin’s staff to pass along a few names from the CbC who should be banned from entering the U.S. A man plain and simple was assassinated for wanting to debate his beliefs. He was a son, husband and a father, he was respectful and loved God and his family with all his being. Our mainstream media and leader of this country has to do better. The rhetoric about Donald Trump absolutely blows my mind and then they try to steer the blame of Charlie Kirk’s death will somehow turn into violent retaliation towards the left?
