Smith is being kind.

Like the Federal Liberals and others.

Skate Canada now joins the list of despicable and unacceptable actions.

Seems sadly to be an ever growing trends now in what used to be Canada.

What a shame.

What a very, very, very great shame.

I totally agree with Danielle Smith & her government’s stand on this. I wish more provinces would do the same. If transgender athletes want to compete there needs to be a separate event just for them.

In reality why give in to their rhetoric at all. Keep it focused your true gender is what you were born as period. Making another sports category doesn’t make sense cause this only fuels the next crazy ideology idea.

We have to examine the makeup and history of organizations like Skate Canada, and from that we might obtain some insight as to their insane policies. Never in my 80 years could I have imagined a time when common sense had to be defended. Biological gender and chromosomes determine what you are for life. You are free to play "make believe", but eventually you must accept reality. Danielle Smith is right and Skate Canada is wrong, and that is their right, but not at the Canadian Taxpayer's expense. I would hope that Skate Canada is not the recipient of any Tax Money. You can't expect Canadians to pay for your activities when you exclude the very Province that props up this country. Another very good reason for Alberta Separation. Go Alberta!!!

Yes, but Alberta is not the only province that props up this country. I live in NE BC

BC, which also gives equalization pyts. Yes not as much as Alberta but we still help prop up this country. I despise Eby and stand with our neighbors Alberta!

NE BC feels the same as Alberta.

Figure skating has always been dubiously accepted as a "sport". Yes, it requires athleticism and long hours of training to develop technical skills, but so do many dance disciplines. While competition is employed to develop and promote performers, it still leans more on the side of an artistic and cultural discipline. Calling itself a sport provides access to sport funding. Skating no longer ranks as a marquee event, even at the Winter Games. International competitions don't even rate being televised. Events such as the Canadian Nationals can't fill the Winsport arena, let alone venues like the Saddledome. Skate Canada is an irrelevant relic of a past glory that will never be recovered. If they want to promote their cultural ideologies, then they should stop masquerading as a sport organization and embrace their true identity as a cultural, artistic show business.
