Slavery among Indigenous populations in what would become Canada persisted long after its official abolition by the British Empire, a recent study indicates.

The Aristotle Foundation published a report on its findings last month, titled Slavery in Canada: The Facts Rarely Told, which reviews the ugly history of human trafficking.
