The Alberta Prosperity Project is causing a stir after the group released its draft fiscal blueprint, claiming that independence from Canada would transform Alberta’s economy for the better.

A four-minute video shared by Alberta Prosperity Project’s General Counsel, Jeffrey Rath, asserts the plan is more than just a theory.

“This is a fiscally grounded, economically viable path to a sovereign Alberta,” the narrator of a summary posted to the X account Alberta Secession – Why? said, describing a province that would not only break even but thrive.
