Senators blow thousands on booze, mini golf and disco parties
An investigation by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation uncovered senators billing thousands to taxpayers for alcohol, upscale dining, mini golf, disco venues and more.
Senators have billed taxpayers for thousands in booze, disco parties, mini golf, gifts, and upscale dining over the past six years, according to a recent investigation by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation.
Individual hospitality expenses jumped 67% in a single year, while spending by Senate administration and leadership has more than doubled since 2019.
Some examples include $20,000 on French dining outings, $27,000 on alcohol, $644 for a mini golf session, and $2,100 for disco receptions — all paid with taxpayer dollars.
Canadian Taxpayers Federation federal director Franco Terrazzano joins Kris Sims to break down the Senate’s extravagant expenses and what taxpayers can do to push back.

There are pigs at the trough.
Then there are Canadian Senators who make those pigs look like rank amateurs.
Remember now though...
The vast majority of them are now Liberals (if not explicitly labelled that these days) so you know they were well trained and taking care of themselves first.
This does not mean that there are not a bunch of Conservative Senators who likewise think they are entitled to their entitlements.
Alberta please separate for the sake of Canada ... We need to distance ourselves from Ottawa
