Second BC Conservative MLA defects, expected to create a centrist party with Milobar

Ian Paton, a former BC United MLA who joined the Conservative Party of BC to defeat the NDP government in the 2024 provincial election, has just announced his resignation from leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay’s caucus.

Paton announced his resignation just a month after leaving a leadership position in Findlay’s caucus and vowing to stand by the party and its leader.
