A taxpayers’ advocacy group says Saskatchewan taxpayers have missed out on billions of dollars in potential savings and investment income over the past decade because the province failed to establish a heritage fund.
A report released Monday by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation estimates that Saskatchewan’s heritage fund would have around $4.2 billion in savings if the government had acted on the recommendation to create one in 2013.
