Rideshare driver charged with alleged sexual assault of passenger

Officers identified the driver as 30-year-old Chaudhary Pervaz.

A 30-year-old rideshare driver is facing a sexual assault charge after an investigation by police in Windsor, Ontario, following a reported incident involving a passenger during a trip arranged through a ridesharing app.

The investigation began on April 18, 2026, after the victim contacted the Windsor Police Service and reported that she had been assaulted by a driver during a later interaction outside of the initial booked ride.

Following the investigation, officers identified the suspect as Chaudhary Pervaz, 30. He was later located and arrested in the 100 block of Goyeau Avenue. He has been charged with sexual assault.
