Retired women most worried about climate change, working age men the least: study

“Despite assumptions that climate change has stronger psychosocial effects on youth, seniors were the most likely age group to report high levels of concern," the study said.

Women over the age of 65 who live in urban environments are the most likely to worry about climate change, while working-age, rural males were the least likely to, according to a new survey conducted by Statistics Canada.

The government agency’s Canadian Social Survey collects information on a variety of social issues quarterly and has recently begun asking Canadians about climate change.
