It was dreadful to read. It picked up every single nuance, large and small, of what we have come to.
It's no longer accurate to say we've just "shifted too far left". That does not begin to describe how far we've fallen. All with the slavish compliance of the Mainstream Media.
Due to all these things you mention, Canada is now alone and friendless on a hostile planet. We have no real allies and it will take a massive, generational and concerted effort to restore them.

Candice, I am only a few chapters in; but as I've been reading, I could not help but notice how similar the playbook of the Kamloops et al crowd is to that of so many anti-Israel (or if you prefer pro PLO/Hamas) proponents, these days. Not to mention the castigation placed on those of us who decline to defer to the demands of those who tout the (non-existent) impending "climate disaster".
Needless to say, the so-called MSM have done their part in promulgating all three; but I'm inclined to suspect that - at least to some extent - they take their "leadership" from the messages of that bastion of "global change" i.e. the United Nations, which seems to have veered so far from its intended mission as to be unrecognizable. To my mind, the UN of today is doing far more damage in the world than any good one might have imagined it could do.
A certain German dictator planned to make that country strong and great. But in the end, he put a bullet or two into his own head. Canada is certainly in a big, big mess. And Canadians need to learn some serious lessons. But only those who know everything can accurately predict the future. Let be hopeful and honest.
Good piece of work Candice. In my opinion, and I'm sure a lot would agree, that this whole business is brought on by the UN wef with the woke virus syndrome. And there are a lot of fools that soak this up. Only strong minded independent people would reject this. You don't even need to be of high intelligence to see through this bs.
My family came to Canada in 1953--as we were "shown around'' the lower mainland -looking for a suitable new home I remember seeing several places that were "institutions/schools"--there were obvious small gravesites/ yards CLEARLY showing crosses--probably wooden--& as we know--wood doesn't last forever. good for u Candice for sticking to your guns !! There should be another “truth bomb” released and that is that the Indian Act, the Gladue decision and other discriminatory laws and rulings from the courts create second class citizens of the rest of Canada. The only solution to creating equality is to repeal those discriminatory laws and rulings. That time has come.
