Liberals are good at two things... Neither helpful or useful.

1. Useless virtue signalling, one which generally costs is billions and worse.

2. In regard to number 1... Thrown away hundreds of millions and billions and useless causes.

I have been corrected on this one when it comes to Ontario and other Provinces both East and West and for the most part (there are exceptions) have to agree with the correction in that it's the "Urban Centres" that seem to have a preponderance of low information voters pretty much all of whom are indeed easily scared and herded by complicit, manipulative political types.

That ability to lie and manipulate is another thing the Liberals seem to exceed at especially around election time ala Sunny Ways, Self Balancing Budgets and Elbows UP.

be careful with your wide brush, west of AB? A completely mis-informed statement! Especially with all the wokism in your two major cities - Edmonton and Calgary! A large percentage of BC citizens are on board with AB and Sask. Northern BC is on the same trajectory as you and your divisive comment does not sit well...You are practicing wedge politics with your uneducated comment. I would add the majority of gun owners across Canada are likely on the same page as you. We need to stop dividing and start uniting.

We need to realize that gun confiscation has more to do with the globalist ambition to disarm people everywhere. They tried it in America, and it didn't work. The concept is based on the fact that the Liberals are following a globalist agenda, which does not want an armed rebellion when they finally corral us into "15-minute cities." Even though they will not succeed in taking away our freedoms, they are committed to their agenda, which has nothing to do with "safety." It's about complete control without the threat of an angered and armed citizenry. RM

Police protection from criminals is one of the few things governments provide that is useful. 95% of government spending is wasteful, intrusive, and unnecessary. It should be cut first. Then on top of that, wokifing Canadian police with LBGTQ and DEI, making them weak and ineffective, and also taking away weapons from law-abiding citizens while criminals are free to accumulate them. Police tell citizens to comply with criminals. Pathetic. Soon, Canadian cities like Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver will be hotspots for terrorism and drug cartels, like London, England, thanks to the woke politicians overseeing this disaster. And people with any sense will flee these cesspools, which were once great cities.

Another way of nullifying our Charter of Rights and Freedoms, thwarting law inforcement by cutting the RCMP budget, and developing a totalitarian state. It is also the first step of defunding the police.

It is clear to me that the liberals want to disarm Canadians as part of their plan to take Canada to the next level towards a dictatorship. Why else would they go ahead with this plan. Did they poll the Canadian public to see what they think of this ridiculous gun confiscation plan….no. I want it put to a vote. They have been told over and over again that legal gun owners are not the problem in Canada so what other reason is there?

Gun owners have 3 choices.

1)comply

2) hide them and get arrested for non compliance

3) Stand your ground and use them on the ass holes that want to take them like you would against any any criminal that breaks into your home cause they obviously are.

The gun ‘buy back’ program is one of the governments best money laundering schemes, of course they don’t want to scrap it. They’ve spent how much so far with not a single gun bought back? Where exactly did the money go?!

Ben's avatar

Sure, the gun buyback program is bureaucratic buffoonery. A program about posturing and pretending while noone is safer as a result of the effort. Yes, this should be abandoned. However, seeking to reduce RCMP expenditures by 2% isn't a bad idea. All government needs to be reduced. Reducing even an essential department like the RCMP by a meagre 2% is reasonable. Surely, there's 2% fat in the RCMP that could be cut. Just because we hate the gun buyback program doesn't mean we can't organize the RCMP to be more financially efficient.

Expand full comment
Trudy Paul's avatar

You are right about reducing government. There is no need for 338 elected officials in Ottawa. Cut back to 100. Look at US, much bigger population and much smaller government. Cancel Governor General and all Lieutenant Governor Generals in each province. Time to cut those expenses.
