A Quebec doctor was given a four-month suspension for not reporting three assisted suicides performed on former patients through the controversial medical assistance in dying (MAID) program.

Dr. Peter Paul Talko, who has practised since 1994, pleaded guilty in October to failing to report three requests for medical aid in dying (MAiD) between 2023 and 2024.
