This continuous, authoritarian, wef attempt by the lieberal party to undermine Canadian democracy needs to stop. I'm ashamed of most of my fellow senior citizens. When will stupefied lieberal voters extricate their heads from the septic sand and wake up, to what their voting practises have allowed to happen in this country? We need a resounding Conservative majority from an election. The lieberal party needs to be decimated at the polls, akin to the line from Apocalypse Now, "Terminate with extreme prejudice."

I agree with everything you have to say - except the part about senior citizens. I'm definitely that - 81st this coming Friday. To vote for a Liberal, someone would have to point a gun to my head. Even then, I'd make them prove it was loaded. And then, If I knew the Liberals would win again, I might ask them to pull the trigger.

That's why I stated 'most' of my fellow senior citizens James. I know, there are some of us, who are rational 😁

I wonder if we should consider, given the support the conservatives had, that the election was completely fabricated to give the liebrals ( as the new name suggests) a win. Looking at Poilievre's loss to Fanjoy... seriously, that did not seem possible to me. Carney was installed with ridiculous numbers to lead the liebrals... I'd wager so was the seat of the PM.

It’s hard to believe that any premier isn’t standing up to this bullying from the Feds!

The Liberal(WEF) Party has never been particularly surreptitious about advancing their Fascist, Authoritarian agenda. That began to become clear with Trudeau's open admiration for China's Dictatorship. He childishly referred to that as a "basic" dictatorship, but there is no such thing.

This move by the Liberals(WEF) to usurp the provincial right to use the Notwithstanding Clause might well be their ultimate goal. If achieved, their way forward to total control would be entirely downhill.

And Canadian citizens would be all aboard that bobsled to Hell - which, btw, is already making trial runs.

I sincerely hope that the five Premiers in the above article stick to their guns, and vow to never surrender. Up to and including separation if necessary. It's that serious. If provinces surrender this tool to the Liberals, they would become instantly and forever more, powerless.

I'd like to know why the remaining Premiers have not joined you.

It really does appear that Carney and gang want to actually create a number of "Constitutional Crises" at the same time.

... Want a really big one ...

Restrict the reason that the Charter was even accepted in the first place then watch the chaos ensue.

It really does look like the Liberals want this to happen.

In 1982 the premiers only agreed to sign on if: 1: The notwithstanding clause was included, and 2: If the word “existing” was placed before “aboriginal rights” (Section 35) to make it clear that no new aboriginal rights, like “duty to consult” and “aboriginal title” would be invented by a future activist Supreme Court. But an activist Supreme Court did proceed to literally pluck “duty to consult” and “aboriginal title” out of thin air, handing us the mess we now see playing out in B.C. The same activist SC, composed almost entirely of progressive, Liberal appointed Justices will have no problem limiting the use of the notwithstanding clause to the point of emasculating it
