Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe urged Canadians to tune out the daily rhetorical "noise" surrounding the U.S. trade relationship, advising a steady focus on long-term continental trade goals as cross-border tensions continue to test ongoing trade deal negotiations.
According to MooseJawToday, the Premier’s remarks were delivered at the Saskatchewan Oil and Gas Show last week.
Following a brief respite when the U.S. Supreme Court struck down emergency tariffs in February, the Trump administration responded by rolling out fresh Section 232 duties on steel, aluminum, and copper imports this spring and also threatening 10 per cent “forced labour” tariffs last week.
