Premier Moe and industry leaders call for Ottawa to “go back to the table” with U.S.
“You go back to the table like they were prior to October of last year and exchange proposals on what we want to accomplish in a comprehensive trade deal," said the former trade minister.
Former transport minister Lisa Raitt says the Carney government must return to the negotiating table with the Trump administration and finalize a trade deal before more businesses are forced to shut their doors.
Raitt made the comments while appearing as a guest on CBC’s Power & Politics when asked how Ottawa could strike a deal with the U.S. without having to give up too much leverage on Canadian energy, which would bring domestic pushback.
