A majority of Canadians do not want to join U.S. President Donald Trump’s “Golden Dome” continental missile defence system despite early indications of a desire by Prime Minister Mark Carney.

What exactly would our money be spent on? What and where would the necessary equipment be placed? How would it be operated and maintained? What effect does all this have on the rest of the economy?
Well, of course most “Canadians” are opposed to it. Most “Canadians” live south of the 49th parallel so they would be automatically protected by the same system that protects Detroit and Boston. Why pay for the cow when you get the milk for free? Besides, there is nothing more “Canadian” than being anti-American.

We should join the US and become 10 more States. Quebec sit in and pout their own little corner, they stole enough from Canada at large and should be left to rot where it is.
I have no idea how that could happen at the price tag that's on it. We can't afford to keep our NATO obligation. Where would this money come from. Oh I see. More tax grab from Alberta and Saskatchewan and increased co2 tax. I think it is a case of more and continued con carney bs.

I agree, but a lot of details would have to be secret if it is to be effective. I am a bit skeptical whether the systems would be able to do the job.
