Those tariffs never should’ve been implemented in the first place.

They all should have listened to Premier Smith of Alberta. She spoke a reasoned truth. That is especially frowned up by the Premier of Ontario.

Drop Tariffs on our imports as we the consumer pays for them. We should focus more on value added to our natural resources.

Canada's economy has been crippled by a decade of inane policies under Trudeau, who was being advised by Con Man Carney. If Canada had a stronger economy, it would be better able to withstand Trump's tariffs. But until the marketing cartels that penalize Canadian consumers are eliminated, there will be no tariff relief.

Carney should never have tariffed CUSMA goods.

It shows bad faith and that he doesn't stand behind contracts.

Carney had to drop the tariffs as he violated the CUSMA, which is being reviewed in the fall.

This "elbow's up" narrative was solely created as an election ploy. It worked unfortunately, as Canadians returned the Liberals to another majority. That other Liberal in Ontario, Doug Ford, isn't doing Canada any favours spouting off like he does either. The US isn't really impacted by our imposition of tariffs, we're merely a rounding error when it comes to their economy. Get a deal with the US, continue to diversify trade with other countries but most importantly get the energy corridors built west to east asap.

Hi Mike:

I agree with almost everything you said. My only criticism is that the Liberals were returned with a minority - not a majority.

God willing, they will lose the confidence of the House sooner rather than later.

Hi Kris. You are correct of course, it just feels like a majority as it's close enough for the battered NDP to prop them up again. Unless the NDP decide to force an election to try and improve and move themselves into official status when Carney fails to deliver on any of his promises.

Kris. the best thing that has happened to the Conservatives is that they did not get elected. This is a no win situation for Canada which the liberals have put us in for the last decades and Trump is going to make us pay regardless of who is in power. Let the Libs deal with the Trumpster and finally show the sheeple here what a mess they have created.

Mr Carney’s election success was based on the promises he made to voters that he either had no intention of keeping or lacked the ability to deliver on.

Jill…I want to interrupt your train of thought…SkidMark carney did not have election success. He “selection” success thanks the the “elite”, their financial superiority, and a crooked election process. Carney was inserted by the WEF through nefarious means, period. Anyone that believes otherwise still has their head buried in the sand. You might need to branch out from where you receive your news and information. None of the “lame stream” media is a source of truth when considering matters that are important to us Canadians. CBC, for one, is “owned” by our government and is used to propagandize its viewers.

Yes to your opinion but if the legacy media had not been bought by the elites then PP would have won a majority & if they backed PP there would be no Liberal party..!!!

Jill He has no way of keeping the promises and they amounted to $130 billion and according to CD Howe we are now $2.3 Trillion in debt and climbing.

Carney is starting to realize what a mess he stepped into and help create.

Con man Carney knows all too well what mess he and Trudope created. Con man Carney just doesn't care. He's so intrenched in the US market through his private and Brookfield holdings that he is effectively immune to market forces and results. A vote of nonconfidence means nothing to him. He'll continue with flatout theft until he looses power, then slink off into the sunset while laughing at the ultimate mess his successor will inherit.

Imposing counter tariffs is like poking the giant in the eye....those tariffs are meaningless to tge US but just hurt Canadians...just like flushing the bought and paid for US booze down the drain...more stupidity...kind of like electing the Liberals again after 10 years of Trudeau Liberals disaster.

Hi Taylor, I hate to burst your bubble but all of this was planned many years ago by the filthy rich and crooked elite at the WEF. Carney is trying to bring about the destruction of Canada for the purpose of driving forward the WEF’s goal of one world government by the unelected mega-rich criminals who would enslave us….”you will own nothing and be happy” (Klaus ass-Schwab)

It was the carney government who started this whole tariff mess by having CBC wage war on Trump during the lead up to the election. Mark needed to get Canadians distracted and not scrutinizing his weak platform. What better way than have CBC attack the US President. It was a great idea, I guess if you don’t think it through. Once elected, do you think that it will all be forgotten? Did he think that Donald Trump was so busy trying to undo the Biden corruption that he wouldn’t have time to focus on him? No, when Trump endorsed mark, he wanted him as our PM so he could publicly humiliate him. Nice work mark. Now all Canadians get to suffer financially for your colossal error.

It wasn’t an “error”. All of the chaos you see happening in Canada is part of a much larger plan. The plan is to set us at each others throat and distract us while the “elite” they take over Canada and its citizens.
