Politicians slammed for platitudes after Jewish bakery shootings
Jewish community members, opposition MPs and online commenters are criticizing governing politicians for offering only platitudes after two Jewish bagel shops were shot at in Toronto.
Two locations part of a Jewish-owned bakery chain have been targeted by vandals on Sunday. Both locations had window damage, while one of the locations was “struck by gunfire.”
Jewish community members and commenters online, including Conservative MPs, are criticizing governing politicians for offering platitudes and are calling for direct action to stop the proliferation of antisemitism and violence against the Jewish community in Canada.
