Well well well....apparently a war with Russia on their doorstep and an America that wants trade wars has gotten their them to start speaking more loudly...about friggin' time. Now here's hoping the Greenidiots and Climitards don't derail what could be a wonderful opportunity. And lest the french get all whiny - everyone should remember Quebec has tons of natgas, they just have to pass laws allowing drilling. [Instead of being hypocrites and stealing from Alberta's wallet and slandering how Alberta makes its money....]

I'm going to assume that Mr. Dzielski is new to his position. He must be, if he thinks Poland is going to get any LNG from Liberal Canada. So, Mr. Ambassador, here's a quick Canadian primer for you.

If you want anything done here, particularly if it involves our fossil fuels such as LNG, you must first get the approval from Quebec's politicians. Forget about Mark Carny, he holds no power in that realm.

Why? Here's a brief history. Back in the early 1970's, a home-grown terrorist group, the FLQ, were raising Hell in Canada, demanding independence for Quebec. They blew up mailboxes, kidnapped a British diplomat and murdered an opposing provincial politician. This created what was referred to as our "October Crisis".

Our Prime Minister at the time was Pierre Trudeau. That's right, the father of that vapid, waste of oxygen, who masqueraded (poorly) as a PM for these past 9 years, prancing from scandal to scandal, like some teenage Flaneur.

Well, Trudeau the Elder invoked the War Measures Act thereby setting in motion events that would alter Canada's destiny. He solved the surface problem of the FLQ, but replaced it with a much bigger one, a much more expensive one, still evident today.

He solved the problem by giving Quebec politicians everything they asked for - and amending our Constitution to make those concessions permanent. He thereby created a de facto independence for the province. Too much detail here to fully explain, but, par example, the Official Languages Act now requires bilingualism, nationwide - except for Quebec, who is allowed to remain unilingual. This type of duplicity is now woven throughout our political system, in all matters, when it comes to Quebec.

You should research our "Equalisation Payment" farce, which benefits Quebec for not producing, at the expense of Albertans, who are very productive. Also, the Bloc Quebecois, gets a voice - thus a controlling interest in our Parliament by continually propping up the Liberals. It is the only province to have this "extra" voice.

And all this is simply the surface stuff - check out how Quebec's dairy industry refuses to allow Carny to cancel their euphemistic "Supply Management" system. Thereby upsetting the orange-haired mastodon with the 12-foot tusks, currently rampaging around the planet.

None of the above is meant to disparage les Quebecois. I lived in Quebec (recently) for 7 years, as an English only resident, and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The people are terrific, I love the culture, the warmth and friendliness of the people and would not hesitate to go back. Their politicians though? Sadly, much like ours.

There's a whole lot more of course, but this should give you a running start.

Oh yes, I wish you luck, and have a truly great day.

PS: I'm a really big fan of Poland's Iga Swiatek! I watch her matches at every opportunity. She's a great ambassador for your country.

Yeah, OK, but I still differentiate the people of any area - including the rest of Canada - from their politicians. I always will. Witness the fact that Canadians elected an androgynous 14-year old child called Justin Trudeau to rule over us for 9 years. Undeniably the worst thing that's ever happened to Canada. Similar to what's happening in the USA. I know many Americans, who are great people despite Donald Trump. The "people" are not the problem. By and large, they have little say in who gets elected. That's bought and paid for by corporate money and their tame, mainstream media. Which is another problem, in itself.

Touche James. I got a lesson. I'm prejudice to a degree. Got say you tell it like you believe and that's good.

Many thanks. I do believe everything I say and unfortunately for some people, I say everything I believe. I'm just truly sick of what has happened to our great country.

Here's a little vignette that just came back to me from my youth that speaks to the current divisive state of affairs in Canada.

When I was 18 years old, I was a newly-minted sailor in Canada's navy. We weren't paid very much in those days. As I recall, my annual salary was $1,300 - about $100 monthly, after deductions. That was not very much, even back then. One autumn, I took leave and couldn't afford the train trip back home to Ottawa. So I hitchhiked from Halifax - in uniform. All through Quebec, which was the longest part of that trek, I was treated with kindness, concern, rides, meals, and occasional shelter from les Quebecois. Even though I could not speak a word of French. Those were the people of the Canada that I grew up in and loved.

I would love to see that Canada again.

That's a pretty good memory. I guess you must date back to at least my era. I can really relate with those things from our past. Like when if you needed a job, all you had to was walk up to a job sight foreman and you had a job, or if you didn't like working there you could just go to the next place and you had a job. You stayed there if you were happy there.

Exactly right! If you were willing to work, you had a job. Simple as that. I remember the hitchhiking trip very well. It was quite an experience and has stayed with me all these years. That was in 1964. It was memorable, because just coming out of New Brunswick, I was unsure of the directions, and got a ride ending up in Bathhurst, NB, then all up around the Gaspe. Long way around to get to Ottawa though. But I would not have traded that experience for anything - including a train ride.

I'm a bit leery about Juno news. They keep telling us that they are trying shut down cbc. Yet more and more they are using cbc news for their own news. HEY JUNO, or True North, you said you were independent, what gives??? You are now supporting the enemy, you are following in the lieberal footsteps.

And now, as for the con man and his mob, it really shines that they need other countries to tell them what they should be doing. First Germany begged for ng, then the US really told them, and now Poland. Tells you what we have in charge of the busted country, that the lieberals busted.

Well Juno is reporting what Carney has blabbered and will probably point out when his lies are evident with the passing of time…

So funny, where to start. Elbows Up!!!

Canada has no export infrastructure, not because there is no business case, but because Canada is an unofficial State of the USA.

Our populous puts our pious nose in the air at the suggestion we build export terminals because we can just let the USA build it, and we can then use their stuff.

And Canadians then conclude we are superior for having no infrastructure compared to the impolite Americans. Then are upset and can’t understand what MAGA is all about. Elbows Up!!

The Liberals want redundant government employees that create nothing but give the Liberals the vote. Canada has a bought off MSM and a bought off useless workforce that produces nothing for prosperity of our country.

like that will happen! The US has had Canada over a barrel, no pun intended, when it comes to our energy for decades! Why? Because Canada has not taken the initiative to invest into our own infrastructure. Canadian business has always relied on a weak Canadian dollar for their profits when we trade with the US. The Canadian elitist's - politicians/bureaucrats/business leaders - have only invested into our resources for their own selfish riches, the fact we have had a reasonable economy for so many decades is a cost of doing business in Canada for these parasites. Canadians have never had control of their country, we have never had any say, we have allowed these parasites to control us in a polite way. Now the politeness is gone and the tyranny of these elitist is obvious...too little, too late for Canadians to get back control of our country. We have allowed this to happen purely due to "Apathy and Compliance", it's our nature and its our demise. Sad times ahead for Canadians...redrawing Canadian borders is likely the only way forward for those of us who want to protect our rights and freedoms for our children and grandchildren. Those who disagree are only playing russian roulette with their future family and friends! Disgusting how so many Canadian subjects cannot see past their own noses! Cheers to those of us that will die on our feet, before ever living on our knees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
