Police arrest man after bomb threat at U.S. consulate in Halifax
According to police, a propane tank and several containers believed to contain flammable liquid could be seen inside the car.
A man in Halifax has been arrested following a bomb threat directed at the city’s U.S. consulate, which led to the evacuation of high-rise office towers and nearby waterfront streets.
Police were initially made aware of the bomb threat on Sunday evening and were able to identify the 54-year-old suspect shortly thereafter. His vehicle was located at the Purdy’s Wharf parkade early Monday morning.
