Poilievre taps MP Lloyd to lead Conservative campaign to keep Alberta in Canada
Poilievre announced the appointment in an open letter over the weekend, saying that Lloyd will work to listen to Albertans and address their concerns.
Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre has appointed Edmonton MP Dane Lloyd, who represents the riding of Sturgeon River—Parkland, to be his “referendum lead” for Alberta.
“I believe very deeply in a strong and united Canada. This is a time to listen to the real frustrations and fears of Albertans so that we can find common ground. Beyond the politics and hyperbole is a conversation about Alberta’s future in Confederation,” wrote Lloyd in a post to X on Sunday.
