Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre delivered a fiery speech Sunday, catching the eyes of many supporters at the Calgary Stampede, in which he accused Prime Minister Mark Carney’s government of pursuing a “block-and-subsidize” agenda that is burdening future generations with unsustainable debt and inflation.

“The reality is, my friends, that Mark Carney and the Liberals are spending irresponsibly,” Poilievre said to a crowd of supporters. “They’re threatening our present generation with high inflation and our future generations with more debt.”
