Poilievre ripped “illusion” of Liberal recovery as Canada falls behind, pitches economic reset
Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre delivered a blistering indictment of the Liberal government on Thursday, arguing that after nearly a decade in power and one year under Prime Minister Mark Carney Canada’s economy is weaker, more expensive and increasingly driven by political “illusion” rather than real results.
Speaking to Canadian Club Toronto, Poilievre accused the Liberals of masking economic decline with announcements and rhetoric while key indicators, from housing affordability to business investment, continue to deteriorate.
