Poilievre speaking in Richmond, BC: X

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre said he and his MPs represented the votes of “hardworking common people,” not “a bunch of backroom schemers and elites,” in response to having the legitimacy of his leadership position questioned in light of recent floor-crossings.

His comments came in response to legacy media questions about his viability as party leader, given the recent decision of former Conservative MP Marilyn Gladu to cross the floor and join the Carney government.
