After witnessing Germany swiftly build a liquified natural gas plant in months thanks to fast-tracked permits, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is demanding Canada slash its own “red tape” to finally get Canadian LNG flowing to Europe.

“In Germany I met with the foreign minister, the former chancellor, the trade minister and representatives of over 100, 000 businesses who all said, ‘they want more Canadian energy,’” Poilievre told reporters in Ottawa on Monday.
