Poilievre, Legion back inquiry into CBC sting designed to humiliate opponents
Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre and the Royal Canadian Legion have joined calls for an inquiry into a CBC “prank” project targeting RCMP veterans and conservatives
Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre and the Royal Canadian Legion are joining Canada’s national RCMP union in demanding a full inquiry into a taxpayer-funded CBC and APTN “prank” project that allegedly tricked RCMP veterans and conservative commentators into public humiliation under false pretenses.
After Canada’s Royal Canadian Mounted Police union called for a full inquiry into the CBC and APTN “prank” scandal, which used taxpayer funding in an apparent attempt to humiliate censored political commentators, opposition MPs and RCMP veterans, both Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre and the Royal Canadian Legion are demanding answers from those behind the project.
In separate posts on X, Poilievre and the Legion backed the National Police Federation’s call for an inquiry, demanding to know who approved and participated in the CBC and APTN project, which tricked RCMP veterans into being publicly humiliated over their connection to the federal police force.
