Poilievre gets swarmed by supporters at UFC event in Winnipeg

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre received a warm welcome from fans at a UFC fight in Winnipeg and was gifted a jacket from the Canadian fighter, Mike Malott, who won the fight.

Fans at a UFC event in Winnipeg gave Pierre Poilievre a warm reception Saturday, crowding around the Conservative leader for photos and thanks as he made a surprise appearance cageside. Canadian fighter Mike Malott also gifted the Conservative leader his jacket.

Malott, who was raised in Burlington, Ont., defeated Brazilian fighter Gilbert Burns by third-round knockout. After the win, videos show Pierre Poilievre hugging the Canadian fighter as supporters swarmed him for a chance to meet the Conservative leader.
