Poilievre criticizes German LNG deal's BC route

Poilievre said Liberal governments killed three LNG projects that could have delivered gas to Europe in “half the time” of U.S. Gulf Coast exports.

Conservative party leader Pierre Poilievre mocked the Liberal LNG deal with Germany, arguing its conditions exposed flaws in the government’s energy policy.

“Conservatives are announcing a new private member’s bill that will require mandatory geography 101 for the Minister of Natural Resources,” Poilievre said with a chuckle, noting Canada should be exporting from the East Coast.
