Seems a great plan . Not at all enthused about the Nato part . We need to get to heck out of NATO. It is a Europe war monger, let Europe keep NATO and back it financially its self . We have a mighty power house next door let’s push our money that direction rather than back another Nato war.

The USA is getting out of Nato it has been announced they are looking for a way out . NATO can stay with Europe they want a war they can finance Nato and have their war . There will be a lot less wars once they are responsible for the wars .

That is poor thinking. Do you not understand the reason for nato. Nato is there to crate a great armed force to better protect all members. We can be attacked just like anyother. We aren't doing our share. Buy doing our share we also have the arms to defend our borders as we should. If we a one member is attacked that great armed force is there emediately to back us up. So what you are saying is totally lacking intelligence.

I say this is the commonsense way to go. Not some costly freaked out wild scheme the liberals keep coming up with. The only way to deal with Trump is to ignore him and take care of business at home. And we have a lot of business that needs taken care of.

Defund CBC - the bias shown by Rosemary Barton and her three stooges is driving me crazy they are so slanted in their reports and and obvious bias for the Liberals. That is why this should be. defunded and we just might get some real journaling

POTUS Trump will do whatever he thinks he can get away with regardless of any negotiation. This article hits the nail on the head, if the US wants to negotiate, fine, if not we will go our way.

We do need a North American union similar to the European Union. We do not necessarily need to erase the borders but we must have a strong military force and economic union in order to counter the rapidly growing Communist Chinese and Russian influence in Canada and Greenland as well. The Liberal government controlled mainstream media, refuses to report this. Now is the time to change course. Canadians have the opportunity to defeat the scandal ridden traitorous Liberal government. Let's make sure to vote for a majority Conservative Party government.

Peirre is right on most, but puts to much effort in worring about Trump. Trump is the US prblem not ours. Any idea of tarriffs should be thrown in the garbage can. All they will do is tax the people, and create more bureaucrates.

Wow! Not to worry about Trump! - whichever side of the aisle you vote, we have to worry about Trump. How we deal with this unpleasant phenomenon is the vital issue and I have to say Pierre has come up with a sensible, pragmatic solution. Nothing is perfect - but his is the best and wisest so far. We have no say which tariffs are put on us by Trump - so hard to ignore.

Why do worry about Trump? We have too many problems here of our own. As in deep financial debt, and spare funds. Our biggest worries are the fed. lieberals continueing in their self distruct mode. Putting on tariffs here will kill us. We are ale]ready over taxed, multiple times. Doing that is senseless. What we need is a responsible government that will get rid of all the deadwood and keep our money at home. Forget Trump, he will self destruct himself. The Us citizens are not happy with his tariffs. We need to tend to our own business. I have and always vote conservative for more than 60yrs, you sound like a lieberal talking!

Absolutely agree with you 100% - the real and lasting problem is the federal liberals. Their net-zero, global, woke ideology has damaged this country severely. All I am saying is, we have no choice - if Trump slaps tariffs on us, we have no choice but to deal with it. In other words, we have to fight on two fronts. I absolutely am not a liberal - daily I worry about them getting in for a 4th term. I can hardly stand it - in fact I really wonder what is wrong with the Canadian electorate - have they forgotten so soon what Trudeau did to our economy? How he managed to spend recklessly until we are so deeply in debt, it will take years to struggle out of it?

I am in agreement with you Margaret. Trump is least of our worries. The US senate has voteed against his plans. As for the electorate here, those who always vote lib, won't vote anything else. They hate conservatives. Why? Because a good majority of them are, have been, or are connected with fed. bureaucrates. to vote conservative would go against their way of life, spoon fed employed, union wage, and big perks. They know no other way of living, they're afraid of the conservatives, as they know many of the useless jobs will be gone. Their world would be distroyed. And these people are generations bred into thier world. Even if they're retired they don't care about our world, they will defend their heaven till their dying day, and that includes their off spring. I know this as my daughter married into a family of this disciption. And that was a way she couldn't continue to live with. People in general are affraid of losing government handouts. And that's what we (you& I) are fighting mostly, and that of course is the lieberalism.

It sells good for the election I suppose. I would prefer he kept it open-ended. What if Trump proposes the two countries elininate all terrifs - period!? The QC farmers can have access to a market 10 x bigger. He's knida boxing himself in and will get ripped to shreds if he doesn't succeed. These agreements are long and complicated. Boxing one's self in is never a gooder idea!
