Tony Wakeham’s Progressive Conservative party of Newfoundland and Labrador has won a majority government, forming the first PC government in the province in more than a decade.
I pray they treat Newfoundland really really well and that he is a TRUE Conservative. Whatever happened in the past, by the Conservatives, caused them to vote "anything BUT Conservatives" ever since. This is awesome news. I am happy about the win.
In practise though and as the party's name is prefixed by "Progressive" don't hold your breath.

After taking a look at Ontario which just lost another several thousand jobs in the auto sector you may understand why the good voters of Newfoundland/Labrador might be disappointed.
