Wow.

I want to be very clear about what happened over the last few days, because it is hard to believe even when you read the news yourself.

Mark Carney has now signed a trade deal and a formal partnership with the Chinese Communist regime.

Not just trade. Not just diplomacy. A partnership.

This will, presumably, kill any hope we have of getting any kind of favourable deal with our closest ally and country we actually trade hugely with, the USA.

But buried in the details is something far more disturbing.

As part of this agreement, Canada has committed to helping Chinese state-run media operate inside our country.

Let that sink in.

The Liberal government sues independent Canadian journalists. It targets outlets like Juno with lawfare and regulatory pressure. It pours hundreds of millions of dollars into legacy media to keep them compliant.

It is now moving to actively assist media organizations that answer directly to an authoritarian foreign state.

This is not a conspiracy theory. It is written into the partnership framework. Chinese state media, controlled by the CCP, will be given help operating in Canada, by the same government that treats independent domestic media as a problem to be managed!

Even Doug Ford, a Liberal ally on many files, has publicly blasted this deal and the expected repercussions for the Canadian auto industry.

That tells you how extreme it is.

And in case you were wondering about the legacy media’s willingness to play along with this deal, well – that question was answered very quickly.

Juno News reported clearly on what Mark Carney said while in China:

“This sets the stage for these important discussions on a wide range of issues where we can be strategic partners – from energy, to agriculture, to people-to-people ties, to multilateralism, to issues on security … and I believe the progress that we have made, and the partnership, sets us up well for the new world order.”

As for the CBC? They aired portions of the prime minister’s remarks, but omitted the “new world order” phrase.

Curious, no?

The lines could not be clearer.

Independent Canadian media that asks hard questions is treated as dangerous.

Foreign state-run propaganda outlets are treated as partners.

And the legacy media, proudly on the government payroll, will run interference for the government, glossing over the worst aspects of this deal.

It’s actually hard for me to believe that I’m writing this.

Carney was elected to get a deal with Trump.

But he failed in that regard. So he ran right into the arms of the communist Chinese regime – and I truly worry he has completely sold Canada out in the process.

So - what can you do to fight back?
