Canada’s retaliatory tariffs on a number of U.S. goods took effect today, running from 15 per cent to 50 per cent across roughly 700 products totalling $27.6 billion.
The sectors hit include dairy, agricultural equipment, paper, household appliances and electronics. Ottawa also placed tariffs on U.S. steel, aluminum and iron products doubled to 50 per cent.
