finally the truth will be told you would think if there is a possibility of mass graves that there would be full discloser to get to the bottom of it so we can learn from our mistakes and move on , i believe the liberals are hiding the truth , there was no mass graves all it did was bring in billions of dollars to the chiefs

Kim Morton's avatar

That would cut the funding. Thousands of bureaucraps with no other job skill that welfare recipient depend on the Indian Industry to get their solid gold pensions.

Richard Robertson's avatar

It’s way past time for Canada to establish a Canada Citizenship Act and eliminate all other designations.

Is the house of cards called " Kamloops " about to fall?. What an exposure it will be to the Indian Industry, and of course all the politicians that blindly went along in support of this hoax.

Of course as the Liberal Regime did with the SDTC scandal they can still refuse to release anything, and why not prorogue Parliament again just to protect themselves from exposure

Bamboo's avatar

Even if these documents are released they will be so heavily redacted that they will offer zero information or disclose any liberal government collusion to spread outright lies, misinformation and disinformation propaganda by their bribed and controlled "media". The liberals are more busy hiding thier corruption than helping Kanadians.....

Walid brings up the original claim of 215 buried children even though the Indian band itself quickly changed the number to 200, since digging had been done recently on part of the area where soil anomalies were found and there were no bodies there. It is strange that this 215 figure seems to have a life of its own, even though it was very quickly discredited.

yah right....Troodo acknowledged the graves and went to pay his respects....then went surfing on the west coast, didn't he????

and $12M for exhumation and forensic testing??? I don't think ateaspoon of dirt was moved....another waste of our tax dollars.....I am so tired of paying out

Eva Smillie's avatar

Trudeau appropriately payed his respects to a pile of rocks ... what a joke

susan gerbes's avatar

with a teddy bear in his hand, correct???

If the government removes all funding for Indians based solely on race Canada will cease to have an Indian problem and we will have to borrow a minimum of 36 billion less every year to pay for our collective “guilt”. It is time to give them title to the reserves, get out of the failed Indian business and let them thrive on their own like all Canadians.

Kim Morton's avatar

And put all those bureaucraps out of work?

Joe Zucchiatti's avatar

Maybe they could learn to lay pipeline.

Brian Giesbrecht's avatar

Trudeau and Marc Miller knew that no graves had been found. Only soil anomalies- which can be anything, like rocks or tree roots. Yet they went along with the false claim and gave away $320,000,000 to search for graves they knew were not there. Indian chiefs and our own elected leaders participated in the biggest fraud in Canadian history

Good stuff. These scumbags are just robbers.

Media and Canadians should stop using their wacko script in their names. Just call them X or XYZ tribe. THis tribe I guess TTS tribe.

East celt's avatar

It's not even their script. No American tribe had written language. They are using a phonetic language developed by a person of European descent. Rather ironic. Almost certainly none of the tribes trying to use this script can even write it nor read it. These pseudo languages should be tossed.

Brent's avatar

It was these horrid residential schools and the Nuns who put the Indian language to paper. No Indians in North America had a written language, only pictographs!

Elizabeth Mcintosh's avatar

Have you watched the documentary Making a Killing. These schools were not horrid. Many children loved going there because they got meals and education. We have all been had. Instances of abuse may well have occurred but they still do today because humans are not perfect, and no that doesn’t make it right, but we don’t live in a perfect world. We need transparency and truth.

Brent's avatar

No I have not, I have purchased and read Juno's two books...there is abuse in catholic schools, protestant schools and public schools etc....I was being sarcastic with my word horrid...:)

Doug Stephens's avatar

The Frontier Centre for Public Policy also has two very good books . " From Truth comes Reconciliation " edition 1 & 2.

Elizabeth Mcintosh's avatar

I kind of thought you were being sarcastic….sorry…so many things going on in this world….good comment about the written language part…

Kim Morton's avatar

Cherokee have their own written language. Not aware of any others.

Brent's avatar

mmm, not aware of this either...I think you may have been lied too...:)

It is time all Canadians are treated equally. In every nation in the world different subsets of people have lived on the land for thousands of years and no one has priority. Anthropologists have studied DNA from First Nations in Canada and USA and found they are related to Asians. Therefore, not really first. Enough already!

RON CASKEY's avatar

Where are the bones? This is just a way that our tax dollars are wasted on this farce.

Kim Morton's avatar

I still have not gotten a coherent explanation as to why the Statute of Limitations does not apply to land claims. The vast majority of Canadian taxpayers were not even born when the problems occurred, yet we are being forced to give billions to the dependents of the original claimants.

JacquelineP's avatar

"The B.C. Supreme Court... declared that Aboriginal title exists on 800 acres of land in Richmond, a suburb of Vancouver. Aboriginal title, said the court, is “senior and prior” to fee simple interests." The Statue of Limitations cannot apply to Aboriginal title. Bruce Pardy, Professor of Law at Queen's University wrote a good blog analysis of the decision: https://www.fraserinstitute.org/commentary/courts-and-governments-caused-bcs-property-crisis-theyre-not-about-fix-it

I ACKNOWLEDGE that the Canadian government is treacherous beyond belief

Brent's avatar

Sadly the truth is right in front of us and our illustrious leaders will deny it until the end. Not unlike the $242 million dollars poured into the ongoing reserve water problems, and yet another evacuation is underway because of unsafe water supply on a reserve. Do Canadians just walk around with their heads up their ass? Why does this shit continue to happen in Canada and all we do is bitch? Oh, I know why, because Canadians are apathetic and compliant, it is really pathetic! Nothing new here, we have been indoctrinated into socialism for more then 60 years and it shows in the public eye around the world. Nothing to be proud of being Canadian! We have no one to blame but ourselves! All of us!

Marilyn Hagerman's avatar

That’s part of many reasons why Albertans will call it quits with these corrupt biased Ottawa seat-warmers and the entire country!

Brent's avatar

I truly hope so, but I fear the geopolitics in Canada will prevent any secession from happening...the will of the people does not matter anymore in Canada...and we Canadians are at fault, because of Apathy and Compliance!

Marilyn Hagerman's avatar

People are lined up at stations designated to sign the referendum to exit Canada. So far, so good! Listened to this link below - it TRUTHFULLY answered questions that concern many folks - beware of the fear tactics that are out their…like on something called Reddit!

Brent's avatar

Canada has gone through this in the past...I do not want to rain on your parade, but the past decades has proven to me that we do not have a say or have any control of Canada's future...there seems to be only one way to fix Canada....I can only hope I am wrong, but what I see and read here and other private media sources, as well as all the protesting going on around the world, I believe the peoples awakening, is too little too late!

Marilyn Hagerman's avatar

I certainly don’t think you’re raining on my parade Brent…far from it! Much of the time I think exactly as you do. It’s important to me personally to keep up some kind of hope - like knowing the Emerency Measures Act that bastards Trudeau/Carney levied on Canadians has finally been deemed completely illegal! Once in awhile things become normal!

Jim Cassidy's avatar

It is clear indigenous people are dragging out the issue as well as they have used this hoax to obtain millions of taxpayer $ and have done nothing to do with the hoax grave sites because it will prove there are none and they will lose their leverage. It is amazing how people hate the Truth if it doesn’t fit their narrative! Passing a law making denial (also known as the truth) a criminal offence is proof of how ridiculous this has become with leftist ideology dominating after 10 years of woke left wing Liberals. This needs to stop and we need to move forward as Canadians without all these special interest groups sucking off the taxpayer!
