They'll take your firearms Uber the guise of safety, theirs not yours. Because if anyone pays attention the next thing that happens they will use the force of arms to get you to comply. Doesn't matter if they freeze your bank accounts or turn off your Internet, or power. It's all about compliance, freemen are a threat to govts. Good luck Canada, you're going to need it.

Standing in our way, is not our family, our friends, the community, nor our skills, but the government itself. If the government was worthy of the power that we give them, Canada wouldn't be the shit-hole it is today.

Those who commit crimes are carrying "assault styled" weapons. In contrast, those who are defending themselves are carrying "defence styled" weapons. Carney, a low life WEF puppet, wants canadians to give up their "defence styled" weapons; the government, known as Canada, is a criminal enterprise.

We will definitely prove you wrong when the fools, who keep voting in the radical, woke Liberals finally wake up to see what the Libs are doing to our country. The criminals may steal the odd gun from regular gun owners, but I know many law abiding gun owners & I have yet to see one of their guns. They're hidden & locked. I would rather listen to law enforcement on this issue any day than power hungry politicians.

For criminals, home invasions are one source of acquiring guns, but not the only source.

Theft is a Crime. In the name of "public safety", armed citizens who would uphold the law are being systematically dis-armed; charged as a criminal should they choose to intervene.

The Federal, Provincial, Territorial, and Municipal governments of Canada are a criminal enterprise. Prove me wrong.

yup..they will..that was probably one of the bail/ parole conditions they were offered....sound a little far-fetched?? why else would the courts keep putting these violent offenders back out on the street?...where they are "on call" awaiting instructions..and it wud also not surprise me that these same criminals will have the info on whoever has registered their guns..

One has to wonder if Carney has read Solzhenitsyn?

He made it very clear that there was much regret that Stalin's goons were not met with what they had in the way of farm tools that would have stalled any further "enforcement".

The other Commonwealth Countries surrendered to the Crown with nary a whimper.

Funny how we're sitting here and not a firearm has been turned in eh?

Maybe Sturmtruppen has something to do with it? A fiercely held pride within the warrior people that are Canadian?

No freedom in Canada. You all saw what happened when the truckers decided to protest... Freezing their bank accounts, doxing them, fines, jail, harassment. Now, just like into England, you can go to jail for speaking your mind that somebody may take offense to, especially when the ones speaking against are the ones making the laws. Resist all you can, and let's make sure this never happens in America.

Straight from the Liberal playbook. Solve a problem, one with often deadly results, by doing absolutely nothing of consequence, except to spend more money and further alienate its citizens.

And along the way, of course, totally ignore the root problem.

I've never owned a gun, never hunted ... those things don't appeal to me. That's personal. I do however know several registered gun enthusiasts and hunters ... including several family members.

They are not the problem and never have been.

Canadian Police departments know first hand what the real problem is - and have said so loudly and publicly. Unregistered, illegal handguns and automatic rifles, smuggled through our porous borders and used by our growing (see immigration policy) criminal element.

Old sayings are typically the best. This is due to the fact that they've stood the test of time because of their validity. Here's the one that most affects this issue - I'll paraphrase:

"When you take away guns from law-abiding citizens, the only ones with guns will be outlaws."

Leave law-abiding citizens alone. Focus on the real problem.

Authoritarian governments have always started their reign of terror with three objectives, control the media with massive subsidies, control the courts with Liberal donor judges, and disarm the public so that when they wan to take back control of their country they have nothing to fight with. History reveals this many times which is why authoritarian governments rewrite history or ban it.

This happen several years ago in my area. That was during the PET ruling. It was a country store owner who had repeated break-ins and theft. He took a pot shot at one one wounding him mildly. He got his gun taken and 5years in prison. The thief got 3months probation.

Interesting- there was a similar incident back early 90s in the Kitchener area. Poor guy had been robbed 3 times; 4th go he was prepared. Cops are busy eating donuts or escorting “vips”- crime needs to kove from federal to provincial domain.

Any and all regular hunting rifles should not even be considered in this broad and general category of fire arms seizures. One never knows, at the present rate of inflation, if hunting for our next meal will not soon become a reality. FAR too much government meddling in Canadian's lives as it is. I'm sure there are more important issues to spend government time on than this. Yoda. (Will you be taking the criminals fire arms as well, hopefully so since that is the only real threat?)

This is a government smoke and mirrors exercise and retirement job for some special people. Do something real PM, stop the guns coming into this country and enforce a minimum one year sentence for anyone who commits any offense with a firearm. This would not be a violation of their rights, if you are carrying a firearm and do not have a lawful reason for possession of that weapon - YOU ARE GUILTY - common sense and logical.

Harper introduced a mandatory minimum of 5 yrs for offense with a firearm and guess who repealed it..yup the turd. Harper, thankfully, also repealed the long arm registry for non restristed guns so the government has no idea what guns people may have, no doubt conman carney will order the rcmp to search every PAL holders property for once totally legal but now prohibited firearms and they can do that without a warrant, so my advice is when the time comes, if you have a now prohibited gun ensure it can't be found. Also do not mention to anyone from now on that you are currently in possession of any, fortunately I have no newly prohibited guns and if any I own get added to the list then I will no longer possess those either.

The RCMP have, again IIRC, stated clearly they ain't the ones going door-to-door.
