Ottawa flies enormous Canadian flag in response to Trump’s newly proposed tariffs
"I think it’s more important than ever that we show our city and our country are strong and united,” said Ottawa Mayor Mark Sutcliffe on Monday.
The City of Ottawa has hoisted a massive Canadian flag outside its city hall in response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s latest round of proposed tariffs to display national pride.
While the flag wasn’t made for the occasion, it’s generally only displayed at City Hall overlooking Marion Dewar Plaza on Canada Day.
