Ottawa has inked a $307 million deal to procure assault rifles at a rough cost of $10 thousand per firearm, while the Liberals’ gun confiscation program offers Canadians as little as $2 per firearm collected.

The Carney government secured a contract for 30,000 assault rifles for the Canadian Armed Forces from Colt Canada, a sum that covers just the first three years of the contract.
