Ottawa approves Enbridge’s Sunrise Expansion Program

The $4 billion project will allow for roughly 140 kilometres of additional pipeline across British Columbia.

Ottawa has approved the Enbridge Sunrise Expansion Program, a liquid natural gas pipeline addition in British Columbia, the $4 billion project will allow for roughly 140 kilometres of new pipeline.

“Our commitment to Canadians was to get projects approved and built — and with today’s approval of the Sunrise Expansion Program, we’re doing just that,” said Natural Resources Minister Tim Hodgson on Friday.
