Oshawa residents lined an overpass on the Highway of Heroes to pay their final respects to Gunner Sebastian Halmagean, a Canadian soldier who died overseas while serving on Operation REASSURANCE in Latvia.

Veterans, families, firefighters, and other Canadian patriots gathered on Simcoe Bridge overlooking Highway 401, braving -6 C weather and winds, to pay respect for the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) member, originally from Hamilton.
