In a shocking act, the Thames Valley District School Board has purged numerous classic works of literature, history and political thought from a school library’s shelves.
Well, sadly one need not read Orwell's brilliant classic, 1984 to see what is unfolding. Just turn off the MSM, walk out the door, and take it all in. What a disgraceful period of history this is for Canada, the UK, Australia, and all the woke countries hooked on their Ministry of "Truth". And shame on Ontario for their cancel-culture actions. Disgusting.
I lived in USSR for 30 years. They "deselected" and "updated" history facts routinely every 3-5 years with some history facts turning 180 degrees. What an eye opener was for me in 1993 when I came to Canada, to read and explore history again in a free country! And now I am living through "USSR.2", or current Canada. Hypocrisy. Lies. Brainwashing. Propaganda instead of free media. Double standards everywhere. Crime. Disgusting people hiding behind government positions with titels " Honorable", shamelessly getting rich and robbing people. And unfortunately most people either don't care, don't see, or already endoctrinated with no return point. Very sad.
The USSR never had an abundance of mediocre, crap books like the West does. And it never banned its very best - Dostoyevsky, Turgenev, Chekhov etc on down the line.
I note that NOT ONE of the novels banned is Canadian. But then that is self-explanatory.
This is a frightening development, furthering the sharp decline of Canada into the muck of Socialism and then, Communism. The Liberals have put up a very high wall against the majority of Canadians who want no part of it. Carnage and the complicit media will make sure the Conservatives will never have a chance to tear that wall down.

While there are surely sensible people on these school boards that are dismayed with what is happening, there are more radical activists, not only hellbent on destroying our history, they are rewriting our history to suit themselves. In this particular case, those responsible for the destruction of all those books need to be removed from the board!

This is easy to fix; REMOVE those that removed the books.
It's not good enough to simply pause this purge. Anyone involved needs to be fired. You can't have people this messed up influencing children.

Peel school board uses the Orwellian word “deselection” to remove Orwell’s books 1984 and Animal Farm.

Reading literature was the best part of school for me as both a student and teacher.
