OP-ED: “World Peace Toronto” cafe owner deletes anti-semitic post while selling Palestine merch

A few days ago I biked down to a newly opened cafe on Toronto’s Bloor St. called World Peace Eatery.
I’d been given a tip that the business has gone out of its way to deny the existence of Israel and its owner, Mustafa Al-Siaudi, has posted anti-Semitic comments on Instagram, particularly following the protest that shut down Toronto’s Union Station on a Friday a few weeks ago.
Although he knew enough to erase his anti-Semitic comments — unlike the Jew-hating Foodbenders owner, Kimberly Hawkins, who drove herself out of business a few years ago — it quickly became clear to me that his cafe was, shall we say, not Jew-friendly.
To the average customer, the cafe is artfully decorated in shades of pastel pink and offers an interesting menu of Middle Eastern food and sweet treats using Dubai chocolate.
Until one scans the premises.
Near the front door is a stack of keffiyehs for sale at $20 each. These scarves have become the official uniform of the terrorist sympathizers who spew their Jew-hatred on the streets of Canada and other European countries.
If you go on their website https://worldpeace.ca/ you can also find keffiyeh bracelets for $5.99 each and pictures of their employees in keffiyehs.
Although I really didn’t want to support Al-Siaudi, I ordered an iced cafe latte and asked the two men at the cash register why the cafe was called World Peace.
At that point, the man who looked to be Al-Siaudi disappeared into the back instead of facing questions.
His employee was left to explain that they are trying to bring about peace one coffee at a time, with 10% of their sales donated to a different cause every month.
It did not escape my attention that this month’s campaign proceeds will go the UNRWA— the same corrupt organization which hid Israeli hostages in employee homes and which has Hamas operatives embedded in it.
So essentially the 10% from my ice cafe latte will go towards Hamas operatives.
It makes me sick.
If I missed the big sign by the cash register, there were also signs on every table declaring his “world peace” efforts.
Can you imagine if patrons walked into any Cafe Landwer in Toronto and there were signs on every table announcing that 10% of our meal would go to help injured IDF soldiers with their rehabilitation efforts?
The CBC and other legacy media would do stories in a minute.
On his website, Mr. World Peace says he’s also given to Lebanon and Yemen—both with Iranian-back operatives who’d like to destroy Israel.
It would seem his version of world peace is a one-way street intent on erasing the Jewish state.
It wasn’t just the signage or the anti-Semitic/anti-Israel comments made to a fellow Jew on Instagram.
Al-Siadu sells Medjool dates on his Palm Bites website claiming they are picked in a mythical country called Jericho, Palestine. He accompanies that with a Palestinian flag.
His world peace merchandise, he claims, is being sold globally from Hong Kong to Egypt and that mythical country called Palestine.
Add that to the comments he made on IG that Hummus and falafels are not Israeli dishes, that the Jewish state has stolen them.
It seems he didn’t even know what Am Yisrael Chai meant (The people of Israel live) and mixed it up with Chai tea.
World Peace that involves erasing the existence of Israel and alleging that Israel stole certain Middle Eastern favorites is a very perverted view of peace.
It is pure anti-Semitism couched in obnoxious virtue signalling.
