OP-ED: Trump isn’t the reason Canada is failing hard

It has become patently obvious that they have been indoctrinated into despising the Big Bad Orange Man south of the border — with a visceral hatred — instead of confronting their own miserable little lives in a declining Canada.
If you thought their behaviour was not cultlike, consider this.
They blame Trump for everything, even the economic havoc Carney is wreaking on our country.
Lest someone dares express support for President Donald Trump’s policies or the U.S.,. they hotly disparage and ostracize us, claiming we support pedophilia.
While that is repeatedly said to suggest Trump had a close association with Jeffrey Epstein (he did not), the critics have completely ignored the many pictures of our own PM and his wife cozying up to Epstein.

It seems there is as much Poilievre Derangement Syndrome as TDS amongst the brainwashed.
Those of us who have ignored the legacy media manipulation and have ventured south of the border this winter are called traitors.
I still can’t believe the Canadians who have refused to come south during a very cold winter because they’ve been led to believe (largely by the legacy media) that they’ll be stopped at the border or because they are deranged about Trump.

The attacks on all-time Canadian hockey superstar Wayne Gretzky— particularly from the CBC— for daring to play golf with Trump have been absolutely obscene.
I’ve begun to wonder if this is what has happened after 11 years of Liberal rule — Liberal voters who are suffering extreme cognitive dissonance at even the whiff of truth that their party leaders have ruined Canada.
Sure PM Mark Carney, his incompetent Cabinet ministers and the legacy media have indoctrinated the weak non-stop with their divisive slogans and propaganda.
Carney’s stupid social media videos in which he stands like a proud peacock announcing and reannouncing various plans to enrich the country and to stand with his new best friends in China are passed off as a leader getting things done.
Yes China, and Qatar.
Why the hell would we want to piss off our largest trading partner — it is estimated that $900 billion worth of goods go in and out of our borders annually — unless that is exactly what Carney is intent on doing with leftist, globalist ideology?
This can only end badly.
Still Carney and his Liberals know that there are far too many easily brainwashed Canadians living amongst us.
The Elbow’s Up cult are like little narcissistic teenagers who refuse to accept their part in the demise of Canada (voting for the Liberals for 11 years) and are happy to blame someone else.
Even the Premier of BC got in the act with a childish tweet Sunday when Canada lost Olympic hockey gold to the US men’s team:

There are many examples of the CBC indoctrinating feeble minds but this podcast from former talking head Peter Mansbridge is downright duplicitous and dangerous.
If Canadians were to open their eyes to the truth of what’s happening in our once beloved country, they’d see conditions that have nothing to do with Trump, as I do.
Carney won not only on the hatred of Trump but on the false promise that he would fight the tariffs.
That, of course, has not happened.
Carney has not created new housing either despite repeated cheesy videos promising to do.
His judgement when it comes to geopolitics is severely lacking. He signed a declaration saying he supported a non-existent state of Palestine and since the end of 2025 has sent $400-million to Gaza (which has no doubt gone to Hamas).
Carney also won because he sold himself as a brilliant economist.
If only people had just taken into consideration the advice of former British PM Liz Truss, who called Carney a train wreck as governor of the Bank of England.
She said he’s part of the same WEF crowd that believes in big government and high taxation.
The Elbow’s Up boomers were recently aghast when a story appeared in the legacy media that Canada’s GDP per capita is lower or about on par with that of Alabama in (Canada is at around $54,000-$58,000 in U.S. dollars while Alabama is around US $61,000-$66,000).
Little wonder. Canada’s productivity growth is stagnant, there’s little innovation and even less competition.
Unvetted unskilled immigrants and refugees — who hate Canadian values and Jews and refuse to assimilate — are being permitted to enter the country and live off the public teat.
His trade deals?
So far, we’ve seen little but huge obscene amounts spent on jetsetting around the world (and even in-flight catering) to rub shoulders with China, Qatar and all his WEF friends.
If he’d made substantial deals, he’d be shouting his wins from the rooftops.
In other words, Carney has merely picked up where Justin Trudeau left off — with one added caveat.
His “deal-making” is about propping up Brookfield, not Canada.
It won’t take long for this latest Liberal poseur to turn my once beloved Canada into a third-world country.
But rest assured, the brainwashed and the paid-off legacy media will be celebrating him no matter what.
As usual you told it like it is in straight forward language. It seems the majority of Canadians believe our problems are caused by Trump. Our problems were here long before Trump. The main problem he did cause was to give the Liberals and their Media Partners a way to win an election they were sure to lose. But even that is not Trumps fault .It is the fault of the sheep voters who believed the endless anti Trump rhetoric from the CBC ,CTV etc.
I am a dual citizen who never voted for a Liberal but did vote for Trump twice.
Yes smoke and mirrors . Only works on stupid people which we seem to have no shortage of anymore . Canada started falling at a quick pace after the Liberals and Trudeau came to power .
