Good article. This is an unacceptable imposition on law abiding, tax paying families.
Why not create Community Safety patrols and document and report all threatening behavior to police and the mayor, MP, MPP and local councilor. Demand the so-called authorities take responsibility for what they've allowed.
Heavens, no! Please do not upset the 'residents' who pay nothing for the privilege of occupying and degrading a public space and sucking up an overstretched pool of funds. It's the new normal, don't you know?!
The problem of the homeless and drug addicts in public spaces could be resolved nationally within a couple of months if the political will existed to do so. However, it's now a billion dollar industry that employs tens of thousands of workers, many of whom have made careers of it. Most importantly, it's a "problem" that significantly increases the power and control of the administrative state, so we'd better get accustomed to it. It's been planned and engineered to be what it is.
IT's much more difficult to get change in govenments that are part of rigged or stolen elections. They are there to destroy countries - and to steal from the populace. From what I understand currently there are 72 countries that have rigged or stolen electins This was all done with the help of the 'cough, cough' Covid lockdowns according to the sources I listen to.
These tent people weren’t there until the lockdowns. There are plenty of people suffering and all they needed was the “Plandemic” to kick them out of work and their housing. Politicians drive people to their vices. Alcohol is no longer the only one. It’s their only escape.
I grew up in that area of Toronto and went to Kent Jr. High for Grade 8. It's sad to hear of these changes and so many more in Toronto. This gives me a bit more understanding as to why some of these camps are taken down and all their gear, etc is taken away. You can't help them and yet you shouldn't abandon them. However, if they 'arrested' them for 'unlawful encampment' and placed them into the hands of a rehabilitation centre where the drugs were removed and their in/out privileges as well, perhaps some of them could actually be helped. I'm sure some DEI group would call that 'unlawful' and 'unjust'. And maybe if we removed and stopped all the immigration, secured our borders and allowed law enforcement the ability to do their jobs, we might even give rehabilitated homeless /drug users a 'reason' to change.
I don’t blame the tent people they weren’t around until the “Plandemic.” Why work when they ALL wish to interfere with your affairs? You then go to the MPP’s office which is actually our office and ask to get your savings back because it’s public safety and all you get is,”You can’t have it all your way. “ Or,”We made a mistake.” It been over 2 years and the local PC MPP hasn’t fixed his mistake. Ford called the lockdown and if the people of Ontario can’t get federal benefits then the onus falls on the provincial administration. They are responsible to us and for us. Most people have no idea of what it’s like when you slide down to skid row. The politicos want nothing to do with you. Yet, they create the dangerous mess. How do pay for the brakes on your car and food to eat with the interference? So far, a tent person died in a fire back in January in Thunder Bay and another in Toronto this month. The lockdowns were needless. This is gross negligence causing death.
This is no problem. The military will round them up, and detain them in concentration camps for processing. "Trump", is just around the corner on that one.
Chow should be imprisoned for harming the citizens of Toronto
This is all by design.

Chow should put them up in the unsellable condos and lock them in

Whatever they are doing, this is not getting better and I don't see any improvements going forward. Great article!
Sue-ann writes a great article and exposes the ills and injustices of our society. The Suns loss is Juno News gain. Thank you, Sue-ann.

Oh, please!

Chow never did have any brains. It hard to see what the late great Jack Layton could see in this hopeless case.
