I have been saying for months now, ever since the CBC watchers have been freaking out about Trump, we need to fix our internal problems before we try fixing the US’s issues. This Trump bashing and hatred is what got carney elected. Now we need to stop focusing on the US and fix our immigration, homelessness, drug addiction and overdoses, criminal justice system, etc. carney is using the distraction to continue destroying our country. Let’s start putting Canada first.
I’m gratified that the author brought historical context to the current cultural and spiritual war Western Civilization finds itself - it appears to be a recurring 80 year cycle.

Getting our own house in order is exactly right and what that looks like is Canada putting on its big-boy pants and the Liberals wish to remain authoritarian with: oppressive taxes, regulations, para-judicial bodies, activist judges, top-down leadership, rather than formulating public policy upwards from the body politic to address the concerns of Canadians - not for me but for thee - todays liberals are incapable of delivering a trade deal because what it will require is anathema to every fibre in their beings. The deal in all its facets defines the Promise of Canada.
