"The man police say killed his sister and stabbed several others on Manitoba’s Hollow Water Indian Reserve was recently ordered by the court to stay away from the girl while he was out on bail."
Never mind the rampant FASD in reserves. There seems to be little to no acknowledgment of this comprehensive disability. What are the reserves doing to prevent this? Why is there massive unemployment? Why are they not the masters of their own fate?
Lack of education, victim hood mentality and lack of purpose; what else do they expect will happen?
These heinous violent crimes must have been caused by "colonialism" what else could it have been - surely not because the perpetrator was a life long criminal and violent scumbag......(sarc) The government, police and authorities seem to have a convenient excuse, no matter how ridiculous or flimsy it may be, to exonerate and give a palatable excuse for every vile, career violent and non-violent criminal's actions. This while the authorities jail and politically persecute and de-bank peaceful citizens who excersise their Canadian charter rights to participate in lawful freedom protests.....Canada has become an insane asylum governed by lunatics in a corrupt to the core woke, ethically compromised, pro-globalist/WEF regime in Ottawa.... Its all by design.....
I agree with this article & am so tired of having the trauma from residential schools be used as an excuse for every issue faced by our native population. The Chinese people who were brought to Canada to help build our railroads were treated horrifically & yet those who chose to remain in Canada have bettered themselves & made good & profitable lives here. They aren’t constantly using those experiences of their forefathers to justify those who break the law, who are violent or who may face addictions. It’s time to put the residential school failures behind & for our young First Nations people to make new paths for themselves. Only they can change the patterns & pathways forward for their own people.
Colonialism, I am so tired of that word...The hwy of tears has a similar outcome, most indigenous women are murdered by their own people...Canada's Indians would likely be extinct or close to extinction if it wasn't for the taxpayers funding their existence...a shameful thing to say, but I have no other words...
oh, stop making excuses for indigenous behaviour!! Have them pull up their socks and get on with life. Everyone has a chance if they make an effort. Tax dollars down the drain for a special class of people? I'm tired of it.....ok so let's take away all reservation fences, make all canadians equal (as in equal opportunity for land and rights and purchases sans taxes), and call it a day
"Simard’s bail release was likely prompted by the application of the 1996 Gladue principles. This requires Canadian courts to consider the unique background and systemic factors, such as alleged intergenerational trauma, poverty, racism, and the legacy of colonialism when deciding on bail for an indigenous person."
So, due to their past, they are given lenient sentences only to go on and successfully murder people. So how's that working out? Thanks Liberals. The number one abuser of aboriginal women is aboriginal men. They beat-up/assault the women. Then get a light sentence only to go on to murder the female later. Whose brilliant idea was that?

And to think that Niigaan Sinclair is a professor teaching young impressionable minds.
Many Canadians are experiencing Aboriginal people fatigue.
