The war has ended, until the hamas builds it's arsenal up then the next war will begin. Don't think that the Israelis' aren't thinking about this and are already preparing for the next start up of the rocket launching. The war won't end until the so called Palestine entity has been destroyed.

Somewhere back in the early days of Islam, there was an extended period of warlike LOSSES, potentially leading to large percent of the group becoming PTSD and highly vulnerable to homicidal ideation... Now I read there's research that uncorrected PTSD can --NOT only create victims among that existing group but also-- change INHERITABLE traits so that the group increases and the most psychotic of the group can **profit by use of tactics to trigger more psychotic behavior**... as seeable in Islamic leaders, some near rabid

According to the Australian Imam Tawhidi, a Quran scholar, there were 'books' added to the Quran that did not make sense and should likely be torn out to sanitize the Quran --- just like the Bible has gone through.... But Tawhidi was targeted by the jihad-lovin leaders of today's Islam...

So questions: among the naturopathic methods is there a cure for PTSD that could be built into the Halal diet...? AND is there some percent of the population affected that would necessitate institutionalizing the group for additional de-radicalization..

4-- Syria just fell to maybe-former terrorists and the ethnic minorities still plea for Israeli rescuing... like the Druze recently did b/c many Druze are Israeli citizens

AND

There was a state called Palestine four thousand years ago. There was never a state called Israel. Statehood means more than real estate fraud. And Nationhood is something else entirely. I am thinking of Ukraine and Israel and there are many other examples. The question of civilizational states is even more interesting. Easterrn Europeans have not done well in the Middle Eastern neighbourhood. Unless you consider killing all the neighbours who were there for thousands of years and stealing their land, a good thing.

I'm not sure Hamas would agree with your statement that the loss of life in Palestine was 'unbearable'. They orchestrated it, after all. No innocent Palestinian was allowed to shelter in the maze of tunnels. And that loss of life, the 'genocide' was good PR for Hamas. With the work of the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas and Palestine pretty much won the PR war, if you consider the massive world-wide protests of anti-Zionists. (Read antisemitism for accuracy).

The Israelis demonstrated their superior capability in fighting a war on many fronts, taking out many of the leaders of Hamas and Hezbollah, putting Qatar on notice as well, AND with the help of the USA, Trump, destroying Iran's nuclear program. The Israelis aren't going anywhere. This is their homeland.

This war will never be over as long as there is Hamas and Islamists. But the Israelis know this. Hamas will rearm. But in time, the bigger threat to Israel might be that when Britain becomes an Islamic state, as they have tactical nukes. J. D. Vance has noted this as a future threat to the USA, but it is Israel that is first in the Islamist cross hair.

I really hope that the aid and money given to Palestine to rebuild is monitored as to the use it is put to. I know that the big issue Palestine had, trying to convince the world they lived in an open-air prison, is merited. This battle has gone on time and time again. The world needs to help in being vigilant that Hamas cannot rebuild. Although I'm skeptical that will happen.

There are numerous interviews, videos and documents showing that the Palestinians, especially the youth, SEEK more than anything to be martyrs.

We can thank UNWRA schools, the UN in general, and the EU. They are the proverbial 10th man on the baseball diamond.

Shortly after Oct 7 and well into the war, polls taken by Arab groups showed that 75-85% of Gazans approved and actually felt PROUD of the Oct 7 'al Aqsa Food'.

I don't think any peace will be long lived. Most likely, Hamas will emerge under a new brand. They have already been branding their fighters as 'policemen' , in keeping with the current 'peace' euphoria.

Read the Quran, surat 5, “The Table” verses 23-24 in which Muhammad (Sal) quoted Moses, (AS), “Oh my people, . . . enter the holy land which God has assigned to you.”

But in a larger sense, let us recognize the supremacy of virtues. The Israeli’s, including Muslims such as Mohammad Kabiya who live in and support Israel, demonstrated loyalty, honesty, discipline, respect, patience, hope and courage. Evil is temporary. Love and the virtues love promulgates are the long term power in the world.

Expand full comment
Crunch's avatar

Seriously, Peter… I suggest you read the entire Quran and not pick the most benign ambiguous ‘ virtuous’ one in there! Unfortunately, reality has shown the world, a large portion of Islamic adherents don’t recognize or uphold the supremacy of virtues, so your comment is completely delusional.

An Islamic group can be reasonably expected to follow Islamic law. Islamic law DOES NOT allow for the establishment of peace between a Muslim entity and a non-Muslim one on an indefinite basis, with say, two states living side by side and respecting each other’s right to exist. No, the imperative of Islamic conquest encompasses every non-Muslim entity. Muslims must fight unbelievers “until persecution is no more and religion is all for Allah.” (Qur’an 8:39) If Israel’s religion is not all for Allah, the jihad against it will continue. What’s more, Israel is on land that Muslims MUST rule! Therefore the Muslims have an imperative before Allah to “drive them out from where they drove you out.” (Qur’an 2:191)

Expand full comment
Peter Bradley's avatar

Crunch Your point is well taken. But Islam is the most difficult to understand except to those with a melting heart oozing with love for all lives. Such people are rare. Thus groups claiming to be “muslim” can claim to be following the Quran but don’t. Moreover, while Jesus said, “Love your neighbour as ;yourself”, both Judaism and Islam contain a criteria for determining right from wrong. Therefore Judaism is a branch of Islam. Both religions have several practices in common.

In the way that the basis of King Charles III’s power is his coronation oath, the “bismillahirahmaniraheem” is the basis of Allah’s Power. So really, the ayatollahs must act as the most merciful and most compassionate. I wish them good luck with that! Don’t hold your breath.

Do you really believe that Islamic suicide bombers go straight to heaven, to be welcomed by 70 virgins?

Finally, the Thirty Years war was fought between Catholics and Protestants. They killed each other with lots of love, right? World War II in Europe was also fought by “Christians”.

God created the world and saw that it was good.

What started this war as well as all the other bloodshed in that area is the UNRWA collaboration and promotion of RADICALIZATION of the young, from daycare ever onward..

When children are raised to chant at a moment's trigger ''kill the jew'' then there will NEVER BE PEACE... Lessons from the long history of wars, foundational is to reduce the opposing people to less than human.

UNRWA should be held accountable for what they did to the CHILDREN of Gaza... PEACEKEEPING should have been and should be their PRIME FOCUS as representative of UN goals/vision and justification. But UNRWA DID THE OPPOSITE..

#DefundUN until UNRWA is held accountable and ALL RADICALIZATION by UNRWA is STOPPED.

It is good that JunoNews has tried to present another point of view than the one normally provided. It is not 'other' enough but better than nothing.

One small, representative example (there are many others):

Why are Palestinians called 'prisoners' while Israeli Jews are called 'hostages'?

I assume it is not because the Jews held hostage by Palestinians are treated more badly than the Palestinians are in Israeli, mainly black, torture centers. Several orders of magnitude more Semite Palestinians than the number of Jews taken on Oct 7.

(There is plenty of fresh evidence about their treatment from the recent Samud Flotilla prisoners seized illegally by Israel in international waters.)

Is the reason the fact that the fiction of the uniqueness of Jewish suffering and Jewish 'Ethics' ("the IDF is the most moral army in the world") has, until now, remained sacrosanct, unbroken and under taboo?

Now that The Jewish State has shown how comfortable it is in the role of international villain, committing genocide, targeting doctors and reporters, killing indiscriminately, apparently content with getting ONE armed person by murdering scores and probably hundreds of civilian women and children primarily, that myth is broken.

The brutal and vicious, almost century long global Zionist propaganda campaign will be much harder to sell now that Israel is in disrepute among the coming generations of both Jews and non-Jews in Europe and North and Latin America. Something like that transgender fellow sinking the Beer brand awhile ago. Most remember his name. I do not.

Yes, Gaza lies in ruins (and bodies rot in those ruins) as a vivid landmark of the War crimes and genocide (recognized as such by the entire civilized world) carried out by Israel, and this is not over by any means, but a moral victory has been won by Palestine not by The Jewish State.

Vox Populi Vox Dei. There is no getting around that.
