Carney has proved that he is arrogant and feels like he is a King. He can make decisions without going to parliament who are supposed to vote on behalf of their constituents. He talked about the rise of authoritarianism at the UN this past week and he is right. He's one of those authoritarians.

He doesn't appear to even care about the people of his riding that voted him in. Does he even have a constituency office yet?

This acceptance of Palestine as a state is more about getting votes to keep him in power so that he can achieve his goals of increasing his portfolio (and those of his elitist buddies) to the detriment of Canadians. Sending troops (if we have enough to send over there) in to keep the peace will lead to the deaths of Canadian soldiers because we know Hamas doesn't want peace.

There is no way Canadians should be involved in Gaza. It would be suicide for the Canadians as Hamas and the Palestinian population both in Gaza and the West Bank as well as Muslims in Canada are not shy in stating that they would support Hamas and the PA terrorists until all Israel and the Jews are eradicated. Just because they say it in Arabic, does not mean you ignore it, nor believe it is just words. Fanaticism reign in ME thinking and not logic and diplomacy. If you are perceived as weak, it is time for war. Canadian troops can barely function in Latvia, let alone Gaza. They have no way of defending themselves as they are armed for a European war, not for urban combat with tunnels for hundreds of km underneath and with approximately 10 000 Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists with other much smaller terror groups, in active combat.

You can let your imagination run wild as to who 'second and third duty' of our Parliamentarians belongs to but it is certainly not to the citizenry, now called 'consumers' or better yet, 'stakeholders'. Move while you can.

I would love to hear your thoughts on why he is prompting a challenge to the constitution, asking the SCC to strike down the Not withstanding clause. If they do that, will he invoke the Emergency Act when (not if) the provinces reject the decision and Canada. Will he prorogue parliament because of his disdain for it? (Not until he gets the Hate Speech act through though, his wet dream)

One thing I am sure of is that he has zero intention of a trade deal with the USA, preferring to galivant around to 2nd and 3rd tier countries to promote trade. It's like a boat with a huge hole taking on water, while he races around plugging tiny holes. The analogy being he is sinking us.

I too was disgusted that he recognized Palestine (West Bank?) while the hostages remain in Gaza. He undermined any hope of negotiation attempts by Israel and the USA. His lack of historical knowledge of 2 state solutions was blatantly obvious, in tandem with proposing Canadian soldiers assist in peace. Only the IDF have the tactical expertise and the knowledge of what they are dealing with. Our soldiers would replace the current hostages in short order.

I'm not sure when the half of the country who voted for this banker/manager will realize they've been had. He will continue to be propped up by the feckless NDP. The problem is, we won't last 4 years of him.

I strongly suggest you check the Israeli Policy of writing off hostages, military and civilian. I am not talking about the tens of thousands of Semite Palestinians who are hostages of Israel in their murder and torture prisons. One of the reasons Israelis never want to see their own hostages again is that when they manage to somehow get past the barriers to their return to Israel from time to time, they almost invariably break the expensive Israeli propaganda narrative and tell how well they have been treated by the Semite Palestinians who are also members of Hamas, or the PLO, or whoever is the designated 'bad guy' enemy of Israel at the time. What I say is uncontroversial though you will not hear it on Israeli or any Western media.

Compared to Gaza, how can one explain that there has not been a single neighbourhood in israel that has been leveled to the ground? Israel is a small country, the size of New Brunswick CA; It takes 45 minutes to get Israel's gunships to Gaza; on Oct. 7, why did it take Israel 6 hours to respond? What? Their helicopters, Tanks, Jets, and drones, were out of fuel? Moreover, Mossad is one, if not the most sophisticated intelligence agencies in the world. Nothing gets into Gaza, or travels through Gaza, or is built in Gaza, without Israel's knowledge and permission. Compared to Hamas, Israel is a Super Power. The only thing Hamas could hope to gain from going up against Israel were Israeli hostages, which is exactly what Oct 7, was all about.

Israel foreknew what Hamas was planning and they allowed it to happen. The longer Hamas holds those hostages, the longer Israel retains its Licence to kill the people of palestine and completely turn Gaza into nothing but rubble; uninhabitable. Does Israel want Hamas to release the Hostages? No, not on your life. For now, Israel wants the hostages well and alive, and to that end, they are not attacking Hamas, but slaughtering the men, women, and children of Palestine instead. Israel wants Gaza for the Jews; the Hostages are the road to Israel's success.

The Israeli Government is the scum of the earth; an entity of the synagogue of satan.

Well, soldiers sent to Afghanistan for a very long time had to buy their own desert boots, as they were given ones for European warfare. The equipment broke down constantly and most officers hid at KAF, safely behind barbwire with Tim Hortons and phones for calling daily. Out of three thousand soldiers at a time, there were less than one thousand outside the wire, with no luxuries like KAF, and with no protection by combat helicopters. Warrant officers and Sergeants were told in real time what to do by the officers inside KAF from the cameras on the helmets of the soldiers actually fighting and dying. Where would the Canadian officers in Gaza be hiding? In the Sinai where ISIS in Sinai who are mostly Bedouin would pick them off? Israel would spit in the face of Carney, forbidding any Canadian presence.

2. If the IDF wanted simply eradicate Hamas and Gazans they could have done it from the air.
