OP-ED: Canada’s abortion culture has become a spectacle of brutality

At last — progress.
Canada has finally arrived at the pinnacle of reproductive freedom: a culture in which one may end the life of her own child, store the body in her refrigerator like last week’s leftovers, and display it proudly to her followers — with a wink and a smile, for a like and a follow.
Jessica Wetz, an artist of the age, has done what few dared before her. Not content merely to exercise her “choice,” she documented every step. She swallowed the pills. She described the sensations. She showed us the results. She even poked at them for effect — performance art, really, of the postmodern sort.
And why not? Why shouldn’t she? We told her the child was nothing — a clump of cells. We promised her this was healthcare. We said there was no need to feel regret, sorrow, or even discomfort. So she turned her abortion into a spectacle, a macabre TikTok confessional — a neonatal snuff film.
This is Canada in 2025.
Perhaps even more shocking than Wetz’s actions is the tranquil indifference with which she carried them out. Her demeanor — detached, mocking, perfectly void of human empathy — was, in fact, the most honest reflection of our national abortion policy: cold, clinical, and utterly unbothered by the death of the innocent.
And who better to stand beside her than NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh? He, too, has mastered the art of saying nothing — of nodding solemnly in the presence of depravity and calling it compassion. He appeared in a video with Wetz. He has not apologized. Why should he? She merely carried the logic of his party’s position — and all of Canada’s major parties’ positions — to its natural conclusion.
Once, the desecration of a child’s body in public would have sparked national outrage. Now it sparks views. The legacy media stays silent. Politicians avert their eyes. And the abortion industry plods along — at taxpayers’ expense, powered by abortion ideology, political cowardice, and the insatiable hunger of a culture that eats its own children and posts it for likes.
Let’s be clear — it is not just federal politicians to blame. We likely won’t hear from provincial leaders either — whose responsibility ultimately includes this so-called “healthcare.” Chemical abortion pills — the very kind used in Wetz’s video — are just a virtual call away, delivered to your door, paid for by Alberta taxpayers. No need for in-person visits with your doctor to check you out first.
Canada is alone among civilized nations: the only democracy with no abortion law. From the first heartbeat to the last breath of the ninth month, the unborn child is offered no recognition, no protection, no dignity. This is our proud national achievement. Because in Canada, abortion is more sacred than God, more protected than free speech, and less regulated than taking out a library book.
If this were economic policy, the NDP would be protesting in the streets.
But because it is abortion — sacred, untouchable, and above all scrutiny — they are devoutly “hands off” when it comes to Canada’s laissez-faire abortion policy.
The baby in Wetz’s video was real — about the size of a sesame seed. The face was starting to take shape, with a tiny nose and little eyes, which stay closed until around 28 weeks. The baby's brain and spinal cord were forming rapidly inside of her. Most mothers grieve the loss of a five-week-old child through miscarriage — a tragedy no one chooses. But this was not miscarriage. This was deliberate. This was Jessica Wetz’s child. And her baby’s death was not a tragedy of circumstance, but a triumph of ideology — brutal, celebrated, and complete.
Rest in peace, baby Wetz.

They will stand to account one day. We may not get to see it...but it WILL happen. We ARE responsible for our actions.
Brian Mulroney is to blame. He decided not to put in a new law after the Supreme Court ruled the previous law was unconstitutional. Now at least 4 MILLION Canadians and their possible offspring are missing and we bring in people who don't assimilate. National suicide!
